Okotoks Mental Health Counselling
At our Okotoks location, Jolene Siemens, R. Psych., provides mental health counselling for adults, seniors and couples. Whether you’re working through stress, relationship challenges, grief or emotional overwhelm, you’ll find space here to reconnect, restore balance and move toward healing.
Less couch. More path. Therapy that moves with you in Okotoks: out on the trails, in the office or online.

You’ve been the steady one for a long time.
You’re caring, capable and the person others lean on. But maybe a season of life has felt heavier than it looks from the outside, or you’re ready to feel more like yourself again.
Whatever brings you here, we’ll meet you where you are, with therapy that helps you feel grounded, understood and ready to move forward.
We Know How it Feels…
To be the one everyone else leans on.
To feel worn down by a season of life that’s heavier than anyone sees.
To wonder where to begin, and whether talking across a room is really your thing.
Therapy That Goes Beyond Talk
We offer trauma-informed therapy that’s grounded in connection, collaboration, and compassion. In Okotoks, we will meet you at our office, outdoors, or online, with evidence-based care that helps you heal what’s underneath.
Trauma-Informed, EMDR-Focused
Jolene is an American trained Certified EMDR therapist, supported by advanced EMDR consultation within our team. EMDR can help you process difficult experiences at the root, offering lasting relief, not just coping tools.
Choose the office, online or the trail. Many clients mix formats depending on the week. Many find that movement and fresh air help reduce anxiety, support emotional regulation, and make it easier to open up.
Support for Life’s Transitions
Grief, parenting transitions, postpartum changes, burnout, anxiety and shifts in identity. Wherever you are in your journey, we hold space for what’s unfolding.
Warm, Relational Care
Healing happens in relationships, and we build trust through attunement, humour and steady presence. You won’t be rushed or pushed. We move at your pace.

Walk and Talk Therapy in Okotoks
Some of the most honest conversations happen side by side, not across a room. In Okotoks, walk and talk therapy lets your body do what it’s wired to do, which is move, while your mind gets room to loosen up and make sense of what you’re carrying.
Okotoks sits on the Sheep River with pathways and green space close to town, which makes it a natural place to take therapy outdoors.
-
Sessions are 50 minutes and start with a check-in and a clear focus for the day.
-
We usually leave from our office at The Elk House and head out on the pathways.
-
The pace stays conversational. No one is gasping for air or racing a thought.
-
If the weather has opinions, we can shorten the walk, meet in the office or move online.
-
Before your first outdoor session, we talk through outdoor consent, including privacy and what to do if you run into someone you know.
Think more clearly on your feet
-
Spend your workdays sitting
-
Feel tense with face-to-face eye contact
-
Want a gentler way into heavy conversations
It’s not a fitness plan. It’s simply therapy with fresh air and a bit of trail wisdom.
