My Story and Approach

Hello! My name is Karli Alm (she/her). Many of us have periods in life where we need support to cope with life and/or to process what has happened to us in the past. I believe that reaching out for support is a strength; it is something I have done myself and find value in.

I provide a safe and caring environment to work with clients in creating goals, building coping skills and self compassion, identifying values, and building new external and internal resources. My approach is patient and calm and I believe building rapport to be an essential building block to our work together.

I am a Registered Psychologist with experience working with children and adolescents in an educational context. My primary interest has always been supporting the social, emotional, and mental health of those I work with. I use a combination of EMDR, cognitive, attachment based, and trauma informed approaches.

In addition to providing psychoeducational assessments, I am now offering counselling to teens and young adults and look forward to connecting with anyone curious about working with me.
